HRMA supports Junior Achievenment of New Mexico.

The mission of Junior Achievement of NM is to inspire and prepare young people to own their economic success.

 

JA of NM students practice the principles of financial management, along with developing the 21st century skills necessary to succeed in a global workforce. In addition to learning how to make and manage money, and how to become career- and work-ready, students are empowered to explore their potential to become successful entrepreneurs.

 

JA of NM recruits, trains and stewards volunteer mentors who provide age-appropriate curriculum to students in Kindergarten through 12th grade. Once a week for one hour, the volunteer and educator partner to provide a five- to seven-week course that focuses on financial literacy, workplace skills and entrepreneurship

 

Our unique approach allows volunteer mentors from the community to deliver 16 distinct, grade-appropriate curricula while sharing their work/life experiences with students. Embodying the heart of JA of NM, our volunteer mentors transform the key concepts of our lessons into a message that empowers young people to own their future success.

HRMA is a proud sponsor of  SAFE House which helps women and children who are victims of domestic violence. We collected necessities for people who show up to the shelter with nothing but, the clothes on their back. 

 

 

We support our Public School System! HRMA recently held a school supply drive for Albuquerque Public Schools, it was a huge success, thank you to all of our members and guests for donating items to this wonderful community support drive for APS.  

 

 

HRMA supports Watermelon Ranch which is NM’s largest no-kill animal shelter. You can imagine how much it takes to care for the animals! 

  

February - March 2017 HRMA will be collecting items for Watermelon Mountain Ranch at each of the luncheons. 

We are asking that HRMA members bring their donations to the meeting. They accept most used items.
