The evolution and redefinition of building a culture of inclusion post 2020.
The past year changed both how we define Diversity and Inclusion, as well as the reasons we should be focused on it is as employers. We will be discussing how the events of the past year changed the workforce’s perceptions and expectations around Diversity and Inclusion, as well as consumer expectations around your brand having a culture of inclusion. We will explore the contrast between the “old” way of approaching D&I, and the way it has evolved post 2020.
The Learning Objectives Include:
● Learn about how employees themselves are driving D&I programs beyond a way to mitigate legal exposure to an expected investment in development and retention.
● Broaden your view of what defines Diversity and Inclusion. From masks to politics and social movements. More of your workforce has an opinion about your D&I program than ever before, and those opinions are stronger than we have seen in decades.
● Learn ways to balance the needs of the business with what the workforce expects, even when they may have conflicting opinions about what they want from your D&I program.
● Explore the ways in which D&I programs fail and ways to prevent it from happening in your organization.
