Summary of Presentation:
Basic overview of risk management that reviews loss control techniques and risk transfer through contracts and certificates of insurance. This presentation is designed to give HR personnel an introduction to risk management so that we can work with appropriate departments to ensure the strategic success of our operations. Risk Management is an essential part to a company’s larger organizational strategy, of which HR leaders must actively take part in.
The Learning Objectives Include:
What is Risk Management – we will learn about the types of risks an organization must manage and the tools it can use to identify these risks, analyze them to understand their significance and potential impact and prioritize.
We will dive into loss control, a risk management technique that seeks to reduce the possibility that a loss will occur and reduce the severity of those that do occur.
Contracts and Certificates of Insurance to ensure adequate limits of insurance and that the insurance is in force and current.
About Our Speaker
Leland Frische has over thirty years of experience in Risk Management. His experience includes higher education, municipal government and healthcare organizations. In 2018 he joined Central New Mexico Community College (CNM) to establish the Office of Risk Management. As the Risk Manager, Leland is responsible for program development, litigation management and loss control. Prior to joining CNM Leland was the first Risk Manager for the Town of Gilbert where he is responsible for litigation management, loss control and workers’ compensation.
