Summary

 

The New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions (NMDWS) strives to be a leader in improving employment and poverty rates through workforce development, enhanced services for employers, and ensuring fair labor practices and workforce protections for New Mexicans. The organization strives to educate, empower, employ and provide enforcement. The New Mexico Workforce Connection Centers are designed to serve businesses with a full range of services.

 

The Learning Objectives Include:
 

  • A comprehensive overview will be provided regarding the NM Department of Workforce Solutions (NMDWS) business services.
  • Learn how to develop a collaborative effort for information sharing with the NMDWS in order to positively impact the NM business community.
  • Learn how the New Mexico Workforce Connection can assist your business with the growth and development of your current and future workforce.
  • Learn about the Business Services Training Programs and how you can work with a Business Outreach Specialist/Business Services Trainer to schedule an assessment.

 

Biography

 

Veronica is the Business Services Trainer for the New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions. She has many years of training including customer service and adult literacy education and has worked within the medical, financial and educational fields. Having grown up in a family of small business owners, Veronica understands real-world challenges faced by businesses in a continuously changing economy. Veronica transferred to the Training Unit directly from the Unemployment Insurance Division, where she learned first-hand the needs of New Mexico’s business owners and employees alike. She has the desire and passion to work with New Mexico businesses to promote their success.
