Total Reward Strategies for the Turnaround & Alternatives to Pay; How can we motivate?

 

As companies emerge from the recession, they need to ensure their reward strategy aligns with their new business environment. Reviewing and rebuilding their reward strategy will enable companies to engage and retain the current workforce and to provide a compelling employment deal to critical-skill and top-performing employees.

 About the Speakers:

Sandra Gaffin is the West Division Practice Leader for Compensation, based in Denver, Colorado, and has over 25 years experience as a human resource professional. Her areas of expertise include executive compensation, global compensation, and total rewards strategy.

Sandra’s client work also includes executive compensation, broad based compensation systems such as global leveling projects, job evaluation programs, pay equity studies, the design of salary structures and variable pay plans, and the development of alternative reward programs.
 
Prior to joining Towers Watson, Sandra was a partner at Ernst & Young and Arthur Andersen. She also served as a senior HR executive in the financial services industry and a higher education institution.
 
 
 
Sandra has:
  • Served on the Board of Directors, Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM)
  • Been a member of the Research Advisory Board, WorldatWork
  • Provided testimony before U.S. Congressional Committee on Civil Service reform
Sandra graduated magna cum laude from the University of Colorado with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business. She holds certifications from the Human Resource Certification Institute (Senior Professional in Human Resources) and from WorldatWork (Certified Compensation Professional). 
 

Matthew Kamensky is an Office Practice Leader for Towers Watson Organization Effectiveness practice. He has more than 13 years of human resource consulting experience specializing in measurement, talent management, organization design, training, and HR excellence. He is a proven resource for helping organizations design and implement human capital programs that result in meaningful and results-oriented change.
 
 
Prior to joining Towers Watson, Matthew worked as a senior consultant for an international human resource consulting firm. He earned an M.A. in industrial-organizational psychology from the University of Colorado, Denver, and graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in psychology from the University of Colorado, Boulder. In addition, Matthew is an adjunct faculty member at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, teaching ethics, organizational measurement and survey research.
